Privacy Policy

Technicolor is concerned about privacy issues and wants you to be familiar with how Technicolor collects, uses, and discloses information. This Privacy Policy describes Technicolor’s practices in connection with information that it collects through Technicolor Partner Hub platform currently located at (the “Platform”). By providing Personal Data (as defined below) to Technicolor or using the Platform, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

Personal Data Technicolor May Collect

“Personal Data” is information that identifies you as an individual or which relates to you, including:
  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Email address
  • Company Name
  • Country
  • Telephone number


How Technicolor May Collect Personal Data

Technicolor and its service providers may collect Personal Data in a variety of ways, including:
  • Through the Platform: Technicolor may collect Personal Data through the Platform, such as when you register or sign up for a notification. 
  • From you: Information, such as your preferred means of communication, is collected when you voluntarily provide it .
  • Offline: Technicolor may collect Personal Data from you offline, such as when you contact our customer service. 
  • Through your browser: Certain information is collected by most browsers, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system version and Internet browser type and version. We use this information to ensure that the Platform functions properly.
  • Using Cookies: Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the computer that you are using. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Platform, pages visited and language preferences. We and our service providers use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience while visiting the Platform. We also use cookies to gather statistical information about the use of the Platform in order to continually improve its design and functionality, understand how customers use it and to assist us with resolving questions about it. Some cookies only exist while viewers are online, but “persistent” cookies – which are not session-based – remain on the viewer’s computer. By continuing to use the Platform, you agree to the use of cookies in the manner outlined in this Privacy Policy, and a pop-up will appear on screen when you first access the Platform to remind you of this. If you do not want information collected through the user of cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to decline the use of cookies. If you choose to decline cookies, some or all of the features, functionality and promotions available through the Platform may not be available to you.   • Using pixel tags and similar technologies: Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used in connection with some Platform pages and HTML-formatted email messages to, among other things, track the actions of users and email recipients, measure the success of Technicolor’s marketing campaigns, and compile statistics about the use of the Platform and response rates.
  • IP Address: Your “IP Address” is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider. An IP Address is identified and logged automatically in out server log files whenever a user visits the Platform, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) that were visited. We use IP Addresses for purposes such as calculating Platform usage levels, helping diagnose server problems, and administering the Platform.
  • By aggregating information: Aggregated Personal Data does not personally identify you or any other user of the Platform (for example, Technicolor may aggregate Personal Data to calculate the percentage of Technicolor’s users who have a particular telephone area code).

How Technicolor May Use Personal Data

Technicolor may use Personal Data: 
  • To process and manage registrations and services.
  • To enable your use of the Platform.
  • To respond to your enquiries and fulfil your requests, such as to send you notifications.
  • To send administrative information to you, such as information regarding the Platform and changes to Technicolor’s terms, conditions, and policies.
  • To send you marketing communications that Technicolor believes may be of interest to you. Please note that you always have the choice to unsubscribe to this marketing communications.   
  • To allow you to send messages to others through the Platform. By using this functionality, you are telling Technicolor that you are entitled to use and provide Technicolor with any third party’s name and/or email address.
  • For Technicolor’s business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, developing new products, enhancing, improving, or modifying Technicolor’s services, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of Technicolor’s promotional campaigns, and operating and expanding Technicolor’s business activities.
  • As Technicolor believes to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce Technicolor’s terms and conditions; (e) to protect Technicolor’s operations or those of any of its affiliates; (f) to protect Technicolor’s rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of affiliates, you, or others; and (g) to allow Technicolor to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that Technicolor may sustain.

How Personal Data May Be Disclosed

Your Personal Data may be disclosed: 
  • To Technicolor’s affiliates for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, whether within or outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). Be assured that Technicolor supervises these transfers by its Intragroup Agreement (EC Standard Contractual Clauses written by the European Commission in 2004 – controller to controller). 
  • To Technicolor’s third party service providers, whether within or outside the EEA, where needed for the operation of the Platform, provided that those third parties agree to keep this information confidential, not to use it for any other purpose, and to take appropriate technical and organizational measures to keep the information secure. Be assured that Technicolor ensures that the third party service provider complies with any applicable regulations, rules and laws related to the handling of personal data, by the implementation of the adequate mechanism of protection.
  • To identify you to anyone to whom you send messages through the Platform.
  • By you, on message boards, chat, profile pages and blogs and other services to which you are able to post information and materials.  Please note that any information you post or disclose through these services may be available to other users.
  • As Technicolor believes to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce Technicolor’s terms and conditions; (e) to protect Technicolor’s operations or those of any of Technicolor’s affiliates; (f) to protect Technicolor’s rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of Technicolor’s affiliates, you, or others; and (g) to allow Technicolor to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that Technicolor may sustain.

Third Party Services

This Privacy Policy does not address, and Technicolor is not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other practices of any third parties, including, without limitation, any third party operating any site or service to which the Platform links. The inclusion of a link within the Platform does not imply Technicolor’s endorsement of the linked site or service. We encourage you to review the privacy, information or other practices of such other site or service.


Technicolor protects information in accordance with appropriate and established security standards and procedures and as required by applicable laws or regulations. We continually assess new technologies that can be used to secure information. We use a secured server, and implement a variety of security measures to keep your Personal Data safe when you register, enter, submit, or access your Personal Data. Our employees and contractors are trained to understand and comply with these information principles. However, no method of transmission of information over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure or fully shielded against unauthorized access.

Your choices regarding Technicolor’s use and disclosure of your Personal Data

Technicolor gives you choices regarding its use and disclosure of your Personal Data for marketing purposes. You may always unsubscribe from:
  • Receiving email marketing from Technicolor: If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails, emails that have been previously agreed by you, from Technicolor, you may opt out by following the instructions contained in each such email. 
  • Technicolor will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you unsubscribe of receiving marketing-related emails from Technicolor, Technicolor may still send you important administrative messages, from which you cannot opt out, except if you stop using the Platform and delete your account.


How you can access, change, or suppress your Personal Data 

You will be offered an opportunity to express your preferences regarding the use and dissemination of information about you. That opportunity may be made available at the time you register on the Platform and subsequently. You may always contact Technicolor to update your preferences using the email below. While the specific preferences offered may vary from region to region across the world through local laws and/or practice, it is Technicolor’s goal to listen to and honor its customers, suppliers and its partner’s preferences.

Retention Period

Technicolor will retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, including to comply with any legal obligations, meet any regulatory requirements, resolve any disputes or litigation, or as otherwise needed to enforce this Privacy Policy and prevent fraud and abuse.

Use by Minors

This Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of fifteen (15), and Technicolor requests that these individuals no provide Personal Data through the Platform.

Processing outside of the EEA

For the purposes of providing the Platform, and the use of your Personal Data specified in this privacy notice, Technicolor, its affiliates and/or its third party service providers may process your Personal Data outside the EEA.  Countries outside the EEA may not have protections in place for Personal Data as robust as those within the EEA. Wherever Personal Data will be processed outside the EEA by Technicolor, its affiliates or third party service providers, Technicolor will seek to ensure that the Personal Data will be protected by one of the methods approved as providing adequacy of protection by the European Commission.
By using the Platform and its related services and functionality and by submitting Personal Data, you agree to your data being processed outside the EEA. The Platform is accessible worldwide and as such your Personal Data may be accessed by other users from anywhere in the world. By submitting your Personal Data you agree to this access on a worldwide basis unless you have restricted access by using the functionality present in the Platform. 

Sensitive information

Technicolor asks that you not send Technicolor, and you not disclose, any sensitive Personal Data (e.g., social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health or criminal background) on or through the Platform or otherwise to Technicolor.

Laws & Courts

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with French laws, without regard to the principles of the conflicts of laws thereof or international material rules. Each of the parties hereto consents to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the Courts of Nanterre, France. 

Updates to this Privacy Policy

Technicolor may change this Privacy Policy. The “LAST UPDATED” legend at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes will become effective when Technicolor posts the revised Privacy Policy on the Platform, and after we sent the new version by email  to all of Platform users. Your use of the Platform following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
